I took most of these shots in the Benson Greenhouses, and the Cherry Blossom photo was taken in the Gardens. I hadn't ever been in the greenhouses at all, but they were really cool. There were so many different plants that they were preparing to plan in different places on campus or in different greenhouses that are more for enjoyment. I had a hard time shooting because it was so bright in there though, which made it harder to get a good balance of light and dark. I did try to get as many different subjects as possible so that my photos didn't look all the same. I did find that the colors of plants and things in the greenhouses were very vibrant. I really didn't have to do much at all, but in almost all of the photos I added a burned border to make them look a little more finished or complete. I did adjust brightness/contrast levels on every photo, and adjusted the saturation a bit to bring out some of the really beautiful colors that were there. I really enjoyed taking photos of things that were moving though. I thought that the different animals were the hardest thing to take photos of because they kept moving all over the place, and you couldn't really ask them to hold still. I did learn a lot in the process and loved it!

Your flower pictures are gorgeous. I specially like the colors of the water lily.
The parrot looks so adorable, I went to the greenhouses, but could not find my way over to that area. Maybe I missed a door. My favorite from this set of photos, is the turtle, the angle works very well for this shot. Great composition.
The first thing I thought of when looking at these photos for the first time was "Wow! What great color!" I don't know how you capture so much color in your photos but you do a great job. (Well I guess I should know now because you explained how to do it in your blog.) I like the burned border. It adds a lot of professionalism to your photos. Great work.
OK, I love all of these shots! I think that my favorite is the daisy picture, but that also could be because I just love daisies. I also love the water lily photo. All of these are great! I love how you tilt the camera to change the feeling of the shots.
